Privacy policy

In short: data you put into our tools stays in your browser. The site's own code uses no cookies and no analytics. We do not show ads yet – if we turn them on, they will load only with your consent and never on tool pages.

Tools

All our tools process what you enter directly in your browser. Nothing you paste or select is sent to our server or anywhere else. Site search also runs in your browser.

Visits

Like any web server, ours keeps standard technical access logs (page address, time, IP address, browser type). We need them to run the site and protect it from attacks. The logs are kept for 14 days (15 at most, depending on when the daily log rotation runs) and are then deleted automatically. We only use them to count visits in aggregate, and IP addresses are not stored in our statistics. The site's own code uses no cookies or tracking scripts.

Light and dark mode

If you switch between light and dark mode in the header, your choice is stored only in your browser (localStorage, key kk-tema). It is never sent to the server and it is not a cookie. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. Without a manual choice, the site follows your system setting.

Feedback

If you send us a message through the form or rate a tool ("Was this tool helpful?"), we store the text of your message or rating, the page it came from and your email address if you provide one. We use this only to deal with your message and improve the site. Please do not include passwords or other people's personal data.

Advertising and cookies

Kyberkit is free, and we want it to pay for itself, so we have decided to fund it with advertising (for example Google AdSense). Advertising is currently switched off. Right now no third-party code is loaded and no cookies are set.

If we switch advertising on, these rules will apply:

  • Only with your consent. Until you click Accept in the consent bar, nothing is loaded from other domains and no cookie is set. Rejecting will be as easy as accepting, and you will be able to change your choice at any time from a link in the footer. Your choice is remembered only in your browser (localStorage).
  • Only on the home page, articles and overviews. There will never be ads or any other third-party code on tool pages, because you enter sensitive data there (passwords, tokens, hashes). The English version of the site currently carries no advertising at all.
  • No influence on content. Advertising never decides what we write about or how. Ads will always be labelled as advertising, and in articles about scams they will appear only after the end of the text.
  • Openly. Before switching ads on, we will list here which cookies are set, by whom, why and for how long.

We do not sell any data about you.
